C18150 Chromium Zirconium Copper CuCr1Zr UNS.C18150 Chromium Zirconium Copper C18150 is an excellent and unique copper alloy with high electrical conductivity, hardness, and ductility, moderate strength, and excellent resistance to softening at elevated temperatures. The addition of 0.1% zirconium (Zr) and 1.0% chromium (Cr) to copper results in a heat treatable alloy which may be solution treated and subsequently aged to produce these desirable properties. Rod is usually supplied from the mill in the fully aged and drawn condition so no further heat treatment is required by the fabricator. The softening temperature of properly heat treated C18150 rod exceeds 500°C as compared to unalloyed pure copper which softens at 200°C, and silver bearing coppers which soften at 350°C. C31400 Leaded Commercial Bronze Rods CuZn9Pb2 UNS.C31400 Lead Commercial Bronze Alloys, which is commonly named "Commercial Bronze", and it is a free machining brass with a higher electrical and thermal conductivity than that of standard free machining brass. C31400 combines the natural corrosion resistance of C22000 with the machinability typical of leaded brasses. Like C22000,it is an alpha brass nominally composed of 89% copper and 9% zinc, but it also contains abt. 2% lead in order to impart free-cutting characteristics. The relatively low zinc content of C31400 provides excellent corrosion resistance in potable water along with a pleasing golden color that matches C22000 hardware. Alloy C31400 is also suitable for outdoor use due to its resistance to stress corrosion cracking and to corrosion in general, but where the highest strength is not required. C18200 Chromium Copper CuCr1 UNS.C18200 Chromium Copper is a heat treatable copper alloy offering good electrical conductivity, resistance to softening at elevated temperatures and good strength and hardness. This combination of properties makes C18200 one of the preferred resistance welding electrode materials for a variety of applications. Nominally composed of 99.1% copper and 0.9% chromium, this heat treatable alloy can be brought to its softest condition by annealing it at 1000°C (1850°F) for one-half hour at temperature, then rapidly quenching it in water.
